With 3 of us wearing glasses at home we use a fair bit of eyeglass cleaner on a daily basis. The last bottle I purchased cost $20 and when it was down to its last drops I thought surely I can find a DIY alternative. After much research and playing with a few recipes, I found the perfect 3 basic ingredient DIY which is effective and gentle enough to be used on any mirror or glass. You could also add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the mix as it is one the best naturally scented oils containing strong antimicrobial properties.
What you will need
- ½ Water
- ½ Rubbing Alcohol
- A few drops of dishwashing detergent
How to do it
Fill any size spray bottle with the above ingredients and shake the solution. After spraying your eyeglass lenses, wipe gently with a lint free cloth. There you have it, a simple cost-effective DIY that will leave your glasses squeaky clean and streak-free.
Let me know if you will make this do-it-yourself recipe. Enjoy!
