This Monomola eyebrow tattoo pen is a cult Korean product, it came in last months bellabox and I was very intrigued and excited to try it. I got the Monomola Peel Off Lip Tint a few months back (review here) and I had mixed feelings about it. The design of the box is really pretty, unfortunately this is where the good part of the review ends. The print on the pen looks like it will rub off easily and the pen itself feels fragile as if it would break if I press on it too hard.
The product is very pigmented which sounds good in theory but you can’t build up the colour. It does not look natural, it would be the same as using a sharpie to be honest. I was contemplating showing you a picture of what it looked like on me but those brows were not on Fleek! It has a long felt tip, which is not flexible and can make the application a bit tricky as you can’t control the thickness of the stroke. It dries very fast and the lasting power is at least 24 hours not 7 days as it states on the box.
Obviously this is a miss for me.

Thanks Fiona ☺
Too bad it doesn’t work well as it has got so much hype!

Yes it is a shame ☺
Oooo this is a really good, honest review-appreciate that. I’m hesitant with eyebrow products because the few I’ve tried didn’t build the right color, came off/melted quickly or just looked…odd. I really have little practice with using them. I’ve been looking at some eyebrow products that are supposedly foolproof and very much like a marker (with the felt tip) so I’m gonna assume they’re similar to this and skip them. Is there an eyebrow pencil/color/powder you do like?
I have 2 favourites that I always go back to, The Ardell Pro Brow Pencil and Kevyn Aucoin The Precision Brow Pencil. They blend really well and have the ideal texture, not too waxy. They’re automatic with a spoolie on the end 🙂 Love!
I’ll make sure to stay away from this product haha because I definitely need my brows to look really haha
Xx
Haha thanks Jessica xo
