Optiva Skincare Review

What better way to wind down after a long day than with a few skin care gems at your fingertips, I love paying attention to products that help improve the quality of my skin. For the past few weeks, as soon as the weather started getting a bit chilli my skin got dry and the Optiva range could not have come at a better time. The products are created to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier, nourish and hydrate the skin for up to 24 hours. The icing on the cake is that each product is super affordable and very gentle on the skin, they work great on their own but a powerhouse together. I’ve been incorporating all of them into my daily routine, morning and night, without further ado, I’d like to showcase:

Boots Laboratories Optiva Skin Balancing Cleanser – 150mL

I have been starting my day with this face cleanser, it has a really creamy texture which I find very gentle on my skin especially the delicate eye area. It removes dirt, oil and every speck of make up without causing irritation or stripping my skin of moisture. Skin feels thoroughly cleansed, fresh and hydrated.

Boots Laboratories Optiva Radiance Refresh Tonic –  150mL

This toner both soothes and cools my skin while balancing out skins pH levels. My pores appear smaller and my complection is clearer. It removes any remaining traces of makeup, dirt and oil and leaves my skin feeling refreshed.

Boots Laboratories Optiva Aqua Capture Serum – 30ml

This is a special concentrated serum, formulated to strengthen the skins barrier and offers an immediate comforting and calming effect. I highly recommend adding a serum to your skin care routine before applying your daily moisturiser. You only need a tiny amount as it has a higher concentration of active ingredients. This serum has a smooth texture that glides onto the skin effortlessly, it leaves my face feeling softer, smoother and more radiant.

Boots Laboratories Optiva Comforting Day Cream – 40ml

I have been using this cream under my primer in the mornings, the texture is perfect for my skin. It absorbs easily and contains SPF15 and UVA filters. My favourite thing about it is it hydrates my skin without leaving a greasy residue which means smoother makeup application that lasts all day.

Boots Laboratories Optiva Nourishing Night Cream – 40ml

This night cream contains the unique Althaea Officials extract and a cocktail of other moisturising ingredients to intensely nourish, repair and hydrate thirsty skin. It works its magic while I sleep and in the morning, I wake up with my skin looking and feeling perky and awake.
