I had the pleasure of trying out some new Mary Kay makeup and I was going to do an overall MOTD type of post but many of the products are worthy of their own posts so today I will showcase the New Lash Intensity Mascara that will be available in Australia in May. The sleek design of the packaging is innovative and phenomenal, you get a good grip of the wand when in use. That was the first eye-popping feature that I noticed when I opened the box. The second was the interesting asymmetrical design of the brush where all the magic happens with its mixture of short and long bristles. It is very easy to layer without clumping up my eyelashes, there is no flaking and it makes them look naturally thick, long, black and keeps them curled for hours on end. The long-lasting formula was really easy to take off with the Mary Kay oil-free eye makeup remover. Keep an eye out as I’ll be reviewing a few more Mary Kay makeup and skin care products in the near future.
The science behind the Double Impact brush
The short bristles are designed as the “volume zone” to create a formula reservoir. Plus, a single reservoir row is incorporated without bristles to allow additional formula pickup. With every coat, a healthy dose of mascara gets deposited from the reservoir to the root of lashes to help build volume.
The longer bristles create a “combing zone” designed to give each lash intense individual attention. With each stroke of the brush, precisely placed bristles are engineered to stretch and extend the formula, hugging lashes all the way from the root up to and beyond the very tip.
