When I attended the Beauty To A Tea event last month I visited the Lip Lab booth and they mixed a stunning custom lip gloss on the spot for me. I enjoyed the process so much, I booked an appointment on the spot to create my one-of-a kind lipstick. I invited my sister and niece to come along for the ultimate girls day out so they too could design their dream lip shade.
I had an idea of which colour/flavour/finish I was after, and Nicole My lip colour consultant helped bring it to life. She mixed the different micas and pigments, flavour and additives with a little silver spatula then microwaved and placed into a centrifuge that smoothed it all out. Next it was poured into a lipstick mold to set and while that was happening I was naming my new creation “Her Quarters”. They also provided me with a consultation card which included the information to recreate my blend, in case I wanted to re-order it again. The entire process took about 30 minutes, it was so much fun and I cannot wait to go back and expand my lip collection or perhaps make my own foundation… Watch this space!
All of their foundations and lipstick pigments are vegan friendly, some lipstick bases contain lanolin however they have a vegan lipstick base available. All their lipstick, lip gloss & foundation products are cruelty free.
When I applied the lipstick for the first time, I was taken aback how pigmented it was. It went on smooth, one swipe gave me intense colour payoff that lasts for hours. It felt hydrating and comfortable on the lips and as it slowly began to fade during the day, it left a subtle stain which I quite like. It did not feel drying as the formula is smooth, creamy and lightweight. Overall I am very impressed with the whole experience, I highly recommend booking an appointment and visiting The Lip Lab Fremantle: 79 Market St, Fremantle WA 6160
