It’s a fine spring day here in Perth Western Australia, the sun is shining the birds are singing and I’m sitting here playing with the hottest shades of the season. Clarins 2017 Spring Collection will have you falling in love with sculpting contouring and illuminating your face using the most luxurious makeup. It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Clarins cosmetics as their products never disappoint. They’re easy to use, comfortable on the skin and the packaging is next level sophistication! I believe they owe their success to the plant based raw materials and environmentally friendly formulations that produce the company’s effective ingredients. Let’s take a look at some of the products from their much anticipated collection which consists of the Face Contouring Palette, 4 Colour Eyeshadow Palette, Ombre Iridescente, the 4 Colour All-in-One Pen and the Joli Rouge lipsticks.
Face Contouring Palette
This all-in-one palette has everything you need to sculpt, highlight and enhance your natural features. It comes with an angular brush which perfectly hugs the natural contours of the face. The powder formulation is enriched with skin-loving plant ingredients that feel comfortable on the skin and blend like a dream. The light beige matte shade brightens dark areas and illuminates the face, while the deeper shade is designed to sculpt, contour and add depth. The dusty rose blush adds a healthy glow and is super practical for everyday wear.
4-Colour Eyeshadow Palette
If you love super-smooth versatile makeup then this is for you. Encased in a gold magnetic compact, this stunning palette comes with a double ended applicator. It also has a full-sized mirror which is great to carry in my handbag and a cheat sheet that shows you how and where to apply the colours to create the perfect smoky eye. The formula is very pigmented and can be worn wet or dry depending on whether you want a natural or more intense look. It feels comfortable on the lids, doesn’t crease and lasts all day (be sure to always use a primer). Shades include: Frosty white, a shimmery light grey, a luminous medium grey and a soft black with a satin finish.
Ombre Iridescente
These beautiful cream-to-powder pots of eyeshadow are soft, easy to apply with a brush or fingers and adhere well to the lids. Like everything else in this collection, the packaging is elegant and the formula has a long lasting shimmering effect which adds radiance. The texture is bouncy, smooth and blends beautifully to a powdery finish. Shades include: 08 Silver White, 09 Silver Rose, 10 Silver Grey. Tips for oily skin: Use an oil-free primer to avoid creasing and help your makeup last longer.
4 Colour All-in-One Pen
Clarins all-in-one makeup pen reminds me of the Bic quad biros we had in high school, only now with a makeup twist. It brings on serious bouts of nostalgia and I’m loving every bit of it. This nifty makeup up palette has 4 retractable colors: 3 for eyes (Black, Brown, Indigo Blue), 1 for lips (Natural Beige) to define eyes and lips in a click. It has an awesome feature which allows you to twist-up the pen to adjust how much pigment to use. The formula is comfortable and super pigmented, colours are wearable and they glide smoothly over my skin without pulling. Handy tip: I would recommend warming up the liners on your hand before application as the tips are not tapered.

The face contouring palette is amazing!
I love how luxurious the packaging looks. The all in one pen totally reminded me of those bic pens as well. It looks rather interesting, I’ve never seen it being done with makeup and I honestly used to wonder if that would ever work lol.
The face palette looks gorgeous but that contour shade looks like it would be too orange for me. However the ombré iridescente cream to powder shadows look so good! I don’t think I’ve had the chance to try any cream to powder products but I would love to try.
Oh the palettes are so great!! 🙂
ooh that face palette and cream to powder shadows look gorgeous!!
