I believe every woman needs a ghd in her beauty arsenal. My very first heat styling tool was the limited edition black gloss ghd IV styler purchased in 2009. I honestly don’t know how I ever styled my hair before it, and the best thing is it’s still going strong to this day. I love collecting hair care tools as I have an appreciation for durable and versatile products. Not all hair stylers are created equal! When I came across the new ghd gold professional styler, I knew I had to have it! If you want to splurge on a quality hair styler then this is up there with the best. Today I am showcasing a few simple hairstyles using the ghd gold professional styler, but first lets take a closer look at its features.
This sleek lightweight iconic styler will easily help you create salon quality styles every time. With its rounded barrel and smooth contoured floating plates, it glides smoothly for perfect silky, frizz-free strands. You can use it to straighten or curl your tresses, even thick curly coarse hair for long-lasting results! The new dual-zone technology controls the optimum heat from root to tip, styling at the ideal temperature of 185℃. It takes 25 seconds to heat up and has a nifty safety feature which automatically switches off the styler if it’s left unattended for 30 minutes. Plus, it’s universal voltage feature gives me peace of mind to know I can still create amazing styles whenever I travel abroad too.
How to create the relaxed french braid faux hawk ponytail
Step 1: Spritz your hair with ghd unplugged heat protection spray and use the ghd gold professional styler to curl your hair for a polished look.
Step 2: Begin by creating two parts from the corners of the forehead back to the crown. Secure the bottom section with a hair tie to get it out of the way.
Step 3: Gather the top section to begin creating your loose french braid along the center of the head.
Step 4: When you reach the back of the crown, grab all your hair into a high ponytail.
Step 5: Once you are happy with the placement, take your hair elastic and secure it all in place.
Step 6: (Optional) You can hide the elastic by wrapping a small section of hair around the elastic band and pinning it underneath with a few bobby pins. Finish with some hairspray to smooth down any flyaways and you’re ready to go!
How to get the perfect imperfect wavy hair look
Step 1: Always use a thermal protectant before using any heat-styling tools. The ghd unplugged Heat Protection Spray can be used on damp or dry hair. How to use: Spritz from roots to tips then comb through to ensure even distribution.
Step 2: Part your hair in two sections then clip away the top half. Feed a small section of hair between the two clamps then gently rotate it a full turn, away from the face as you work it down the length of your hair. The smaller the section, the curlier the hair. Another easy curling method is to braid the hair then run your ghd gold professional styler over it a few times.
Step 3: Once your hair is done, break up the curls with your fingers to get the relaxed wavy look. Finish up with hairspray to keep hair in place.
